Ages 9-12

Our desire is for your child to build a solid foundation for the faith, self-confidence, and self-worth necessary to sustain them through the developmental stages of pre-adolescence and beyond.  So, we have set three goals for this program that are accomplished through three disciplines.

Introductory Class: Sunday, May 15th @ 9:30am

(Coffee and Bagels provided for parents.)

Program Goals:

Proverbs 22:6

Love Jesus

Cultivating our love for Jesus is the foundation of this program because it's the foundation of our faith. Our hope is that your child will deepen their understanding of Jesus love for them and learn to love Him in return.
Matthew 22:37

Love Yourself

This aspect of our faith is often overlooked. Maybe because it outwardly seems selfish, but a strong knowledge of who they are in Christ and an ability to accept their God-given identity will play a major role in creating the necessary security and confidence for our children to flourish.
Matthew 22:38

Love Others

If we are to be like Jesus we must serve like Jesus. Our goal is to teach our children at Parkside to devote their lives to the good of others. We are asking each student to serve one Sunday per month.
1 Corinthians 10:24

Spiritual Disciplines:

1 Timothy 4:7-8

Memorizing Scripture

We want your child to get into the Word of God so that the Word of God can get into them. These scriptures will be part of their journey with Jesus and help establish a biblical worldview for life.
Psalm 119:11

Serving on Sundays

Jr Leaders will learn to follow in the footsteps of Jesus by developing a heart to serve others. This starts with serving their church family on Sundays. It is a seed that will grow throughout their lives, reaping untold rewards and results.
Mark 10:45
Note: You can bring your child any Sunday at 10:00am and they will be plugged in to serve in one of three areas: set-up, kids check-in, or greeting.

Encouraging Others

The gift of encouragement is both given and grown. Some people are born with it, but the rest of us can, and should, develop it. Our desire is for your child to become increasingly positive and encouraging toward others.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
